The keepers certainly re-defined my definition of a bird of prey. It basically means any bird that has to hunt for live food, so not seed or carrion eaters... so a Kookaburra is a bird of prey too. They had a kookaburra, peregrin falcon, and a wedge-tailed eagle. The keepers gave a bit of a talk about each of the species, and the background of each of the Zoo's birds. There was also an amazing demonstration of the birds in free flight.
